Pakaas Palafitas Lodge

If you love your life and that of your family DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL SIMULACRUM! It's all horrible! Everything dirty! Rooms with mold, no TV, nothing. Dirty pool… Whoever said that this is a minimally good hotel is a lie! Anyone who says this has either never stayed in a real hotel or is just used to wallowing in pigsties. It's one thing to be a jungle hotel, it's another thing to be an unhealthy, dangerous place, without structure, without service, without anything. Better to camp directly in the woods. Uneducated staff, horrible and reheated food (anyone who ate there knows this). Furthermore, you run the risk of death, as all the woodwork on the walkways is rotten and could fall at any moment. The Fire Department just didn't ban it because it hasn't been inspected yet. The place is so unhealthy and horrible that at the same time as I checked in, I already had to leave. I'd rather lose my already advanced night's stay than spend an extra hour in that joint.

Our group of 9 had 2 nights at this Lodge. The location, atmosphere and overall experience was outstanding and would be hard to beat. Situated right in the jungle along a river with a pool overlooking where two rivers meet..we spotted pink dolphins and were entertained by squirel monkeys along the boardwalk to our rooms. This place is very tranquil and the sights and sounds would be hard to put into words. Upon arrival we had the staff arrange a river tour for the following day. The pool and rooms were very clean and service was excellent. Breakfast was included in the price of rooms and was very good and plentiful! We were pleased with the other menu options as well. We hope that the owners of this lodge can preserve the facility as it's a rare beauty and an amazing experience. Thank you.

Went for vacation with my family and the place was beautiful just needed some repairs. All the wood was old around the bridges and pool is super dirty . Same person that served us dinner was the receptionist and everything else great service for one person . Very unsafe for toddlers . Internet only works in the lobby not in the rooms or pool area . Great game room okay food breakfast okay also. Only had 2 types of sodas and water
