Fort Recovery Beachfront Villa & Suites Hotel

Although a slightly older property and still rebuilding from the ‘17 hurricanes (the bar/restaurant is schedule to reopen in about a month), Fort Recovery is well appointed, clean, quiet, minutes from restaurants and amenities, and a beautiful place to unwind. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen has all the basics for cooking in. The pool and beach are small, but lovely with good snorkeling right off the beach. The gym is small, but with some creativity, a good workout is easy to program—dumbbells 2#-50# & cardio equipment: treadmill, bike, & elliptical (pro tip: go earlier in the day for cooler workout conditions). Justin, the owner, couldn’t be more helpful with dinner reservations, taxi tours, and other helpful advice. We will be back!

Amazing location. Rooms were tastefully decorated in Caribbean style. Great view. We enjoyed watching the sail boats go by and being close to Soper’s Hole. Owner was very friendly. The old fort was neat to see. Only thing I would change is more comfortable outdoor seats on deck.

I had the absolute pleasure of hosting my family’s annual Christmas Eve get-together, at Fort Recovery Beach Front Suite #14, from 3 PM on December 24th, to 3 PM on December 25th, 2024. The experience was beyond incredible and will be cherished by all of us for years to come! The accommodation was perfect in every way. The full home had three spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and ample storage and closet space. The main bedroom was a standout with its balcony, offering a stunning beach view. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the dining area was ideal for sharing meals together. The spacious living room had comfortable furniture, and everything was impeccably clean. One of the highlights was the large balcony, complete with a table and chairs for outdoor dining and a cozy couch where we relaxed, while soaking in the breathtaking scenery. The property had so much to offer: tree swing just outside the suite for added outdoor enjoyment, beach lounge chairs to relax by the shore, and an incredible sunset view, that is a perfect end to the day. The property itself had a unique charm, with a historic fort onsite, hammock along the beach, and an outdoor swimming pool, for a refreshing dip. Although the property is located near the main road, a long wall kept it completely private, quiet, and distraction-free. Justin, the host, was fantastic—pleasant to interact with, highly responsive, and clear with all the information we needed. My family and I absolutely loved our stay. Fort Recovery Beach Front Suite #14 is a true gem, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable getaway in the British Virgin Islands.
