We spent 7 nights at Long Bay for our anniversary. We had an oceanfront room (2nd floor); the room was spacious and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The balcony looked right out at the ocean and was situated so that we did not get direct hot sun any time of the day. The beach was great- perfect white sand and clear water. There were rocks right off the shore, which made swimming in the ocean somewhat limited, but there were enough areas without rocks that you could swim if you wanted to. Free yoga overlooking the beach twice a week was great. The food was mostly good, but quite expensive even for a resort. The biggest problem at the restaurant was the service was painfully slow! We waited one morning for an hour and 20 minutes for our breakfast and waited an hour the same day for our lunch. Even on "island time" that's way too long to wait for a meal.
We chartered an Axo Par 37 speedboat for a day to take us around to all of the islands in the BVIs. Thomas, our captain, was great and very knowledgable about the islands. We really enjoyed hiking The Baths at Virgin Gorda and stopping for a drink at Cooper Island.
I would recommend taking an eye mask and ear plugs if you want to sleep past 6 AM. Our room had very sheer white curtains that did not keep out the morning light at all. There were roosters on the property that would start crowing before the sun came up.
If you want to eat off property, I would recommend Da'Coal Pot for a casual dinner (amazing views at sunset) and The Sugar Mill for a fancier dinner. We also took a kayak from the resort down the beach (around to the next bay) to Sebastian's for lunch.
Despite a few minor issues (restaurant service and early awakenings) I would highly recommend Long Bay and I would definitely return!

My husband and I spent a week at the resort and 2 nights on the "Pain Killer" catamaran with Capt. Glenroy Johnson.
The hotel is SO beautiful, every detail was thought out, and the service was amazing-even before we arrived we received emails from both Kennester and Karema helping with our booking and planning.
We stayed in an oceanfront suite and I highly recommend these rooms, we used our private/shaded patio every day.
The room was well air-conditioned, the bed was comfortable, and the entire resort was so quiet and peaceful- we were there in the off season and have heard it's pretty busy Nov-Mar.
We used all of the facilities- gym, pool, spa, yoga classes and found them all to be exceptional.
No issues with bugs at all, didn't use any of the bug spray we brought. Do recommend packing your own sunscreen to save some $$.
We enjoyed our meals at the two resort restaurants and poolside bar, we got great service and loved our bartenders Kim and Max!
Our two nights on the catamaran were so dreamy, Capt Glen was the best! He knew all the best spots for us to grab lunch, snorkel and anchor for the night. We felt so safe and well taken care of, not to mention the fresh-caught red snapper lunch, you're the man Capt. Glen!
