Peter Island Resort and Spa

This island is a must stay if you want top notch service and exclusivity from the crowds. We had beaches and pools basically to ourselves.

This brand-new, all-villa property gets everything right. Easy transfer from Tortola airport, genuinely warm and helpful staff, and an immaculate villa just steps from the ocean with perfect views. Days fell into an easy rhythm: multiple beaches to choose from, water sports, and two beautiful, warm pools. The White Bay excursion (with complimentary ride to that side of the island) was a highlight. Bonus history: Norman Island, said to have inspired Treasure Island, sits across the water, and Deadman’s Bay takes its name from “fifteen men on a dead man’s chest.” Evenings shined. The Sunset Loop, a ride up to a peak with vistas across several islands, was the best sunset spot of the trip. Two dining options: the marina restaurant with noteworthy pizza and exceptional wings, or Drake’s for an elevated menu and vibe. The marina scene was great for meeting fellow travelers. Lovely touches throughout: daily English tea service, complimentary sunscreen, flip flops, a travel tote, and evening turndown. Tranquil, beautiful, thoughtfully run. We’ll be back.

Wow—Peter Island blew me away. This place is truly something special, and to really understand why, you need to immerse yourself in everything the island has to offer. First, the staff. Everyone on the team works incredibly hard to create a memorable experience for every guest. Their attention to detail is simply unreal. From the meticulously maintained grounds to the beautifully appointed rooms with luxurious finishes, every aspect of the resort reflects thoughtful care. The in-room amenities are outstanding and include premium toiletries and shower products, Peter Island monogrammed robes, sandals, and a beach bag to use during your stay. The well-stocked minibar features coffee, teas, snacks, and Fiji Water that is replenished daily. Evening turndown service adds another special touch, with thoughtful treats and stories that make each night feel unique. The pool and beach lounge chairs deserve a mention of their own—they are the most comfortable and highest-quality loungers I've ever experienced. It's details like these that set Peter Island apart. As a foodie, I can honestly say every meal exceeded my expectations. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all exceptional, and the handcrafted cocktails were just as impressive. Every dish was beautifully prepared and consistently delicious. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying Miss Jean's French toast—it was unforgettable. The island offers so many incredible experiences. We loved kayaking around Deadman's Beach, relaxing on the secluded white sands of White Bay Beach, and snorkeling among an amazing variety of colorful tropical fish. Morning runs along the Sunset Loop offered breathtaking views, while the oceanfront gym and spa made it easy to stay active or unwind in one of the most beautiful settings imaginable. The live musical entertainment each evening added another layer of magic to the experience. Also, keep your eyes open for the island's wildlife—there are plenty of animals to discover, although some are better at hiding than others! If you're looking for a true high-end luxury vacation where every detail has been carefully considered and every member of the staff is dedicated to making your stay unforgettable, Peter Island is the place for you. We left already dreaming about our return.
