Winslow Residence

There was only one main postive to this hotel and that is its close to the centre and gondola other than that ill list why not too book this venue. 1. No lifts 2. No reception staff (left contact number which no one answer) 3. Cleaners never show up 4. Sockets hanging off the walls 5. Open and live cables hanging about 6. Boiler leaking in bathroom 7. Floors constantly wet 8. Worktops/splash back not attached to the wall 9. Laminate flooring had gaps in it 10. Mould in shower tray 11. Spare pillow no cases and stained yellow instead of white So if you are only after location this is a decent place. But everything else customer service/cleanliness dont bother. Only place i could complain too was the crystal ski reps not the hotel management because you cant find them.

We have stayed here on several occasions in the past, mainly due to the excellent location. However, this time was just awful. The first room in block D we were given absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke, so we refused it. Baring in mind out booking very cleared asked for a non smoking room due to having an asthmatic child with us. The hallways also stink of smoke, so hard to get away from. We were given another room after we complained. For the whole stay, we each were given just ONE Towel, which was not changed and was also to use for the pool. Absolutely disgusting. Again, we asked for more towels but this was a big deal and none actually materialised. There are much cheaper places to stay in Bansko and this one has really gone down hill. Good stuff - location, showers are good, apartments a good size & warm. Bad stuff - stinks of cigarette smoke, poorly equipped kitchen, one towel per person per week, no towels in the pool area, no bathmat or hand towels, beds hard & uncomfortable, not cleaned while we were there and wasn't great to start with, WiFi absolutely rubbish, only provided with half a roll of toilet paper per stay. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Hotel staff, especially Boris were very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, very warm and clean. Always enough hot water for a shower. We ate out for every meal so didnt use the kitchen area. Spa facilities were fine and nice for relaxing after a hard day on the slopes. We didnt use the lockers and just put our items on the loungers by the pool. Closest we have ever stayed to the gondola station (few mins walk) Would definitely stay again and advise others too. Those staying at other more expensive hotels said our room was bigger and better than theirs.
