Royal Palace Hotel

Really enjoy this hotel. The staff are very pleasant. The rooms are Very big and comfortable. Generally a very pleasant experience staying here. One can also share the swimming pool facilities at their other hotel.

I stayed here for one night as a treat after a busy few weeks volunteering in Cambodia. I ate dinner on the roof top and was really surprised that customers had dogs in the eating area. The dogs came over and peed right by my table as I was eating. The waitress brought my menu and stood and waited which made me uncomfortable and I asked her to give me a couple of minutes. She came back like a minute later. Once she had served me I never saw her again and wanted more drinks. She was only a young girl and I think this is a training issue and etiquette for other cultures. Breakfast was appalling with a raw cooked omelette that knocked me sick. She took it away with no apology. My friend cancelled her booking as a result of my experience .

Very nice hotel in a central location in Phnom Pehn. All of the staff we interacted with were extremely accommodating and friendly. Lots of choice for breakfast. Our room was spacious with a large bathroom area. The swimming pool was lovely - big pool for swimming and relaxing. Limited sun beds though so in the afternoons it can get very busy and you miss out on having somewhere to lay after a long day sightseeing. The cocktails at the pool bar are delicious - I would recommend the hotel do something to light up or decorate the pool bar area though as it is very dark and dingy looking
