Angkor Riverside Hotel

Awful in every way except being close to everything. I booked for 18 days and after the first night that was enough. They charged me for 3 night which can be understood but I forgot to sets of jeans in the closet and first they said there not there than one hour later they called and said they found one pair oh really they are both on the same hanger. Remember this word when you check in sleazy. This place will make you hate Cambodia the managerial staff are liars and the breakfast sucks the beds and pillows smell like animals slept there and it smells old with cigarette smoke. I hope you enjoy my jeans.

Hotel is located comparativelly near by the city centre (pub street) ca.5 min walk or 1$ by tuk-tuk, but is in quiet location with very frendly personal and small but nice pool. The roof terace with nice view is also avaiable. If you are going from hotel by tuk-tuk ask in reception about the normal price.

We stayed here for 2 nights, and on arrival there was a guest complaining that she had no water in her room, which should have been a warning to us. We booked a cheap room and had the toilet blocking and overflowing with every flush-disgusting. Then when we wanted a shower at 5am before angkor wat sunrise visit we had no water at all, with no staff available despite advertising 24hrs reception. Then mostly no hot water that was advertised. The staff were completely uninterested and would barely aknowledge you, apart from one man who didn't speak english, but fixed the toilets. They advertise tour and transport booking but don't bother to do it, we ended up getting ripped off by the tuk tuk driver taking us to another travel agency, we were charged $30 instead of $22 for boat tickets, which he assured us was a great discount. No internet that worked for our stay. Food average and room otherwise ok.
