Due to a delayed flight we missed the last ferry to Koh Rong and needed a place close to the pier to stay at the last minute. There were cheaper options but this place ticked enough boxes and we had an adequate stay. The town is horrible, a dusty building site that the Chinese have wrecked. Maybe we will return in 10 years and it will be Las Vegas or Macua... I doubt it. The roads have been ripped up and left as dust tracks. Reception staff friendly, room OK with nice bathroom, view of a building block but no noise for us! Breakfast has enough choice to go at but weighted towards Chinese guests.

Holiday Villa Nataya Is a lovely little hotel hidden among the Chinese high-rise buildings. The lobby was an oases from the horrible outside environment. My very large room was located on the mezzanine, hence I did not use the elevator. The bed was firm and fantastic. The view from my small balcony was horrifying, because of the seemingly never ending construction site outside the hotel. This, however, cannot be blamed on the hotel. Buffet breakfast was decent, although it was biased towards Chinese guests. Because virtually all restaurants outside the hotel serve Chinese food, it was a great pleasure to get very good Kmer food in the hotel’s own restaurant, where also prices were affordable. I can recommend this hotel, although I hasten to add, that Sihanoukville itself has changed beyond my wildest imagination. There is absolutely nothing left of the old Sihanoukville. At the time of writing Sihanoukville is a huge dirty and dusty construction site, mainly by Chinese construction companies.

Terrible value for money, not at all a 4 stars hotel. The wifi does not work well, the breakfast is not good, the room is comfy but not enough for the price paid. It only has a good position, close to the pier.
