A bit outdated but comfortable. The room was below street level, but the main area of the suite was at the level of the indoor garden. I would have preferred a higher floor to avoid the feeling of sleeping in the basement and to hear less noise. I appreciated the maps for taking the city bus for free.

This whole place needs renovating. It doesn’t look like it’s been touched since the 70s/80s. Kitchen cupboard doors were broken and some furniture was badly scuffed. Having said that, our accommodation was clean and comfortable which is all we needed. The equipment in the kitchen was adequate for making simple meals. We had a great view of Mount Rundle from our balcony and spotted wildlife too. The location is excellent. In a quiet area of Banff but within easy reach of the main town. The transit bus stop was just opposite the hotel and free passes were available.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this hotel regarding a booking made through Booking.com. When I attempted to make a reservation, the booking platform experienced a system error after I entered my credit card information. I did not receive a confirmation email from either Booking.com or the hotel, so I reasonably assumed that the reservation had not been completed. I was shocked to receive a credit card charge for a “no-show.” Despite explaining the situation and providing context about the system error and lack of confirmation, the hotel refused to issue a refund or show any flexibility. The manager implied that I was lying when I indicated that I did not receive any notifications, and was unaware that a reservation existed. Charging a guest under these circumstances—where there was no confirmation and an incorrect email address is unacceptable. I would caution other travellers to be very careful when booking with a third party, and staying at this hotel. Unfortunately, based on this terrible experience, i would advise staying away from this place.
