Heritage Inn Hotel And Convention Centre

May not have a bunch of amenities but when you stay at a motel or hotel especially for work pretty much all you care for is decent size and a good bed. The beds here were super soft. Great pillows. Had two great sleeps during my work stay. Price is great compared to the Ramada that thinks it’s a Marriott.

We stayed 1 night here in June. As we walked in there was an awful smell that we put down to the toilets opposite reception. However, the smell was far worse on the upstairs landing. When mentioned to staff, they said they couldn't smell it (maybe immune to it?) and said it could be from a nearby meat processing factory. You couldnt smell it outside. The ammonia smell was so bad, one of our party asked to be moved at 1.30am as she couldn't bare the smell in her room. She was moved to the 'corporate' building that had no smell and was much nicer than the older building. This building seemed to be run separately and had a pool that the older building guests couldn't use. Not clear on their website that there are two separate accommodations. The smell on the upstairs landing was dreadful when we left the following morning.

Poor customer service. No one answered phone when tried to phone and book. Front desk person uncooperative and argumentative. Hallway carpet old and rippled and many tripping hazards. I will never stay here.
