Super 8 Camrose

This is an excellent, clean hotel with huge rooms. It is set up for longer stays. Not very walkable as it is on the far west side of the city. Friendly staff.

March 2025 Our family of 5 stayed for the weekend, it was a good stay. The hotel was fully booked at the time as there was a hockey and dance competition going on that weekend. We had a room with two queen beds and pull out sofa, it was a decent size. The room was clean and comfortable. It had a mini fridge and microwave, a small bench to sit in at the entrance and one chair, the couch we converted in to the pull out bed. There were large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body provided in the shower. The pool area was very busy most of the time but we managed to find a few moments it wasn't as busy. The hot tub was almost always full of people. We enjoyed the waterslide and like that the pool was big enough that you could still swim and not worry about getting hit by someone coming off the slide. The breakfast the first morning was disappointing, eggs were not cooked properly and no fruit, not even banana or apple. The second morning was better, thing were fresh and there was bacon but still no fruit. If in the area again I would stay here.

I often stay at Canalta Hotels and find them extremely comfortable and staff are always friendly and helpful. For my last two trips I have stayed at the Canalta, Camrose. A lovely hotel but the breakfast area have the most uncomfortable metal chairs. They are terrible. Please do something about these chairs and perhaps vary the breakfast menu.
