The High Point has become my new number one choice for stopping on our travels. We were greeted by a friendly young lady (won't mention name here for privacy concerns) as we entered and without sounding like she was reading from a script she pleasantly told us all about the hoteL, the complimentary 24 hour snack bar and the breakfast buffet, the three accessible door entry points and it was a nice conversation - a great way to be greeted after 11 hours of driving. It was one of the easiest check-ins we've ever experienced (and we travel a LOT). We originally planned to stay in another city further south but had vehicle troubles. A short time after we checked in we went back to the vehicle for more items, when we came in the agent had taken the initiative to call around to find, what her stepdad assured her, was the best autobody shop in the area! She was so nice that I instantly made up my mind that this would now be our "Alberta" choice for resting. The next morning that thought was reinforced by manager because he was every bit as welcoming and assisted us with a late checkout to accommodate the vehicle repairs. (and the buffet was delicious - bacon, sausage, eggs, hashbrowns, fruit, yogurt - everything - yum) To make my point, of the many travels we've made across the country, this is the first time I've made the time to leave a review - this place is that GREAT!

Exceptional customer service. Very nice Inn, clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was provided and had a great selection of hot and cold items. The Inn is situated with lots of amenities nearby Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Diary Queen, McDonalds. I would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here in late December for 1 night only; we had a Standard room (#205) with 1 King bed, located on the upper floor. Note that there is no elevator, so ask for a ground floor room if mobility may be a concern (there were two sets of stairs to get to our room). Room was clean, spacious, comfortable and warm. The evening snacks (free coffee, tea, muffins, etc) were much appreciated. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. We were leaving just before Christmas and perhaps the hotel wasn’t as busy at that time, but the breakfast was not as good as I remember from my previous stays (just not as fresh, potatoes burnt, food wasn’t hot, etc). All in all a very good choice for Peace River.
