Crandell Mountain Lodge

Mice issues on lower level. Old. Do not book.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in our two bedroom upstairs suite. It was sweltering and we had a great deal of trouble sleeping despite the ceiling fans in the bedrooms. There was no ceiling fan in the main area and that was even hotter. I actually considered sleeping in my car. As well, the tiny bathroom had no fan and the shower was not only small but the grout near the bottom had turned black. There were boxes with mouse poison in each corner. The laminate floor was damaged in the great room. The hallway outside our unit smelled like a combination of b.o. and air freshener. The whole place needs sprucing up. Unfortunately, we had terrible air quality due to 10/10 wildfire smoke so we left a day early. The whole town seemed to be vacating and we were disappointed not to be offered a partial refund given we couldn't even open our windows to cool the unit down.

Great location! Front deck definitely needs some attention. It could be a great place to spend some time if it was repaired and swept but it was not welcoming. Seems to me to be a large valuable piece of real estate not used to its potential. Rooms were dated but quaint, nice updated bathroom but needs a shelf for toiletries. please clean the fans! Ceiling and plug in’s were too filthy to use. Walls were thin, I could hear my neighbor snoring. A little attention could go a long way at this quaint establishment.
