Sandman Vancouver City Centre

Had an overnight stay at Sandman Signature Downtown Vancouver before my flight home. Rooms are comfortable although nothing too fancy. The hotel is handily located on the edge of the downtown area with a shopping centre a couple of blocks away and plenty of restaurants and food shops close by.

The lobby and pool was nice, but the hallways felt dirty, tired, and outdated from the 1990s. The room that I stayed in had a little bit of mildew in the shower and, again, it felt a little run down. But we did have a nice view of Vancouver harbor. Overall, I would give this hotel a B+ rating on an A to F scale. I would recommend this as a budget option for short-term stays (under a week), but it is not recommended for long term stays (a week or more).

Good hotel in downtown Vancouver, large clean rooms in north tower with modern bathroom, coffee machine and aircon. Only real downsides are incredibly slow check in process and an eternal wait for the lifts. Tried to use the stairs instead but they were grim
