TRAVELODGE CAMPBELL RIVER

The location is great. The atmosphere is less than great. The room was beat up and dirty. The common hallway carpets are filthy. The building doors have no security, they don't even close properly. Absolutely do not recommend this property

This property is not 'Ramada' in any way, shape or form. Rooms are dated, filthy, and smelly. Hot water in shower was scalding if neighbour flushed the toilet. Pool was filled with locals who dropped in for a sweaty swim after work. Too many repairs & replacements are needed to get this place up to snuff. The whole property should be bulldozed. Trying to end on a positive note, the breakfast was delicious!

Location was fine for our needs. We only stayed one night as we were flying out the next day. Best thing about our stay was the good restaurant next door where we went for dinner. Upon entering our room, there was an odour and we had to air it out by opening the patio door and turning on a fan. We were on the ground floor so couldn't leave the door open while sleeping. Despite fan, the room was too warm to sleep comfortably. Also, mattress sagged in the middle. Overall the room was dated. Some flooring had been updated but there was old carpeting in half the room. Room appeared to be clean. Only light in bathroom was around a mirror over the sink. Toilet was very low (older style). Had clean towels and water pressure was good in the shower. We did not use the exercise room or pool. There was an old, unused mini-golf area in the courtyard that needs to be removed or repaired as it is a little unsightly. We chose the hotel as the room was reasonably priced and it offered a continental breakfast. Thinking next time, I might be willing to pay more for a better room. In addition, the next morning there was a sign on the door breakfast room saying it was not open due to staffing issues. So, that was disappointing.
