Skyline Motel Kamloops

Simply disgusting! I wish we would have read more reviews because it seems many people have had the same horrible experience staying at this disgraceful excuse of a motel. Room wreaked of pot and cigarette smoke. Sheets had cigarette burns and when we checked the mattress for bed bugs we found them stained and dirty like someone pulled them out of the ditch. Bed bugs didn't even want to live on those disgusting mattresses. Tiny AC did nothing to cool the room down and it seemed like the building was a homeless shelter. We paid $160 for that nightmare. Never again Motel 6. Also, I'm sure some representative of Motel 6 will leave some meaningless apology for our bad experience. The best thing that Motel 6 could do is shut that place down and board up the windows.

Opened the door to our room and was hit with terrible marijuana odour . The manager claimed to not smell it and refused to move us to another room . The shower faucet leaked the entire night , couldn’t even use the shower . The walls were left spackled they were not repainted . I love motel 6 in the states that’s why we chose it but I am shocked after seeing and staying here that Motel 6 would approve of this . There were “homeless “people hanging there and living there and their windows were looking shabby . Place felt kind of unsafe . Also the A/c was ineffective for the size of the room and in Kamloops you need AC .

Pros Close to Amenities - Food/Gas/Shopping Cons They take a photo of your driver's licence with personal phone! Not a good practice in the era of cyber crime and identity theft! So if you aren't into this, then I would suggest look elsewhere. Room clean, outside is undergoing improvements. The area is reflective of pandemic challenges and you may want to consider securing your valuables. The photos are not reflective of the actual state of Motel 6 website.
