Value Lodge Economy Motel

Room was clean and comfy. Its obvious they rent some upper suites Monthly because above our room a child or children were running around constantly. We were in room 115. WiFi was Super slow and disconnecting on a regular basis. Manager was friendly, maid service on request at the office. Ground floor suites, people walking by always wanted to peer in room so blinds had to be closed at all times, our stay was 2 nights and we moved to another motel for the remainder of our 4 night stay in Nanaimo.

If I was the owner of this place I would change the name from Value Lodge to Value Dumpster. The only good thing here was the nice tv and satellite package. Now, if you can hear the tv over the incredible noise of the permanent upstairs tenants, cars and local crazies that frequent the place at all hours of the night then you got yourself a great room!

Nanaimo must be an expensive place because "value" doesn't come cheap. Free parking along a busy highway, CDN$103 for a cozy room smelling of bleach, good WiFi, soft double-bed, okay for an overnight stay.
