Sandman Inn Vernon

My friend and I recently booked the Sandman Hotel in Vernon as our basecamp for a local golf trip, and overall, it was a good experience. Check-in was completely smooth, and the location is incredibly convenient. It sits right on the main street coming into the city, making it easy to navigate, and it’s close to plenty of restaurants and shopping for after a day on the course. The room itself was well-appointed and had everything we needed, including a fridge and microwave, which always comes in handy. It is worth noting that the room and the property as a whole are a bit dated and could definitely use a modern refresh. That said, everything was clean and perfectly fine for what we needed. Our only real snag was with the air conditioning. The unit in our room wasn't functioning properly and just wouldn't cool the space down. I do want to give credit to the staff, though. They were very responsive and genuinely tried to help us troubleshoot and fix the AC, even though they were ultimately unable to repair it during our stay. All things considered, if you need a convenient, practical place to crash while staying in Vernon, this is a reasonable choice with good staff.

Not a good place. Small rooms, very loud A/C and bathroom fans. The A/C is so close to the bed (small rooms) that no matter how you adjust it, it blows in your face. Requested a room on the ground floor and still had to take steps to get into the room.

We stayed one night with our dog. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The unfortunate thing about our stay was the fan from the heater was so loud we had to shut it off! And, it’s right by your head. If it’s the same in all rooms, they should update the system.
