Moby Dick Inn

This motel is very funky yet fun and eclectic in their offerings. Rooms are very comfortable with good linens. Yes, this is a budget motel that won’t have the luxury amenities, but what it does have is a very veteran staff who work tirelessly to make sure that your stay is a good one. I’ve seen them work double time to accommodate requests and they are extremely responsive. The location is very local to attractions but is also removed enough from cruise ships and crowds. Another plus is the attached pub open on certain nights.

1 night stay between the train and the ferry. The 2 double bed room was basic and old-fashioned. Furniture and lighting were ancient and rough around the edges, likely dating back to the 70s. Stains and patch jobs throughout the room and bathroom. The bathroom ceiling had mold spots. Windows open but there is no screen. Staff were friendly. I wouldn’t stay again, I found it disappointing and uncomfortable.

I stayed at Hotel Moby Dick in Prince Rupert on a business trip, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The room was comfortable, with a cozy bed, clean bathroom, and well-prepared amenities that made my stay very comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located near large supermarkets and great restaurants, and if you go a bit farther, there are beautiful parks and scenic spots perfect for relaxation. Above all, I am deeply grateful to the two owners for their kindness. During my stay, I lost my wallet, and they went above and beyond to help me find it. They searched the entire neighborhood with me and even reached out to locals, offering a reward to anyone who might find it. Since I don’t have much experience traveling abroad, losing my wallet was absolutely terrifying and put me into a real panic. If it weren’t for their help, I would have had to return to my business trip destination without ever finding it. Once again, I sincerely thank them for their kindness and generosity. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Prince Rupert — you’ll have a comfortable and memorable stay here. And if I ever visit Prince Rupert again, I will definitely stay at Hotel Moby Dick without hesitation. Thank you again!
