Tall Trees Bed & Breakfast

As has been said by so many people, dirty, unfriendly, unwelcoming and uncared for. There was also no mention of 5 little yappy dogs that greet you when you walk in with a note on the door. Very disappointing experience unfortunately.

I never write reviews, but I’m making an exception this time. I had high expectations for this B&B based on the photos we saw when we booked. But the reality is very different! No warm welcome at all! Just notes on the front door telling us where we were staying. We had to climb an old, dilapidated staircase and ended up in a musty, poorly maintained room. The description says there’s a spa-like atmosphere and lots of extra amenities? There’s nothing. A lot of things in the room are old, broken, and dirty. It’s a dirty, musty room. There’s no way to make coffee or anything like that. In short: it’s a huge letdown that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone for this price!

When we travel we always try to stay at B & B’s because of the clean comfortable home environment, friendly personal hosts and the delicious breakfasts. If this is what you are looking for DON’T think of staying at Tall Trees B & B ! The photos and descriptions promoting this establishment are outdated, and very misleading - example - see my photo of what the welcoming exterior of this B & B looks like today. Jenny O’s review dated March, 2026 ( written after our reservation was made ) is totally accurate - I couldn’t have written it better - we found the exactly same thing ! A lack of building maintenance, noticeable wear & tear, mold, major rust in the shower, stained bed sheets combined with a very un-welcoming host, made for an extremely unpleasant experience. Our breakfast consisted of a tub of plain yogurt being put on the table, along with a two cup french press coffee maker ( for 4 people ). When we asked if there was any fruit to go with the yogurt - a bag of frozen berries was taken out of the freezer and placed on the table. After asking for another pot of coffee and some toast - it was made, but appeared to be at great inconvenience, It was very obvious that our host didn’t want us there - she just wanted our money. We were a party of four ( 2 rooms ) and planned on staying 3 nights. We ended up staying 7 hours - paid for our one night and left. Staying here was the worst B & B experience we have ever had !
