Motel Bavaria

We stayed here June of 2025, but I neglected to write a review at the time. We intended to rebook this year, but forgot which motel, and ended up with a 2 day stay at Crystal Springs Lodge, which we shortened because it was an utterly awful experience. So retroactively, I felt it warranted to give a shout out to the ownership of Motel Bavaria, which was so vastly preferable. Neither Crystal Springs or Bavaria are high end accommodations. However, the attitude of the owners vastly changed the experience between the 2 budget motels. The motels are comparable, or at least on par, in many ways. However, the management of Bavaria seemed genuinely concerned about the comfort of our stay. This was absolutely not the case for the other. Bavaria's bathroom (at the time at least) was outdated, but it was clean and fully functional. Crystal Springs was more recently renovated, but had a bizarre and awkward floor plan. -The fridge was placed next to the bathroom door, and could not be accessed if someone was coming in or out of the bathroom. (The bathroom also had no fan.) For our stay, the biggest difference was that Bavaria had a fully functional a/c unit. Crystal Springs turned out to not have one. We decided not to stay a second night, as we were exhausted at that point and wanted to get home. The management initially refused to refund anything whatsoever. Eventually, they gave 25% off one night, and charged us the full amount for the second (unused) one. If you are deciding on a budget friendly motel. Pick Bavaria over Crystal Spings Lodge. The lady who dealt with at Bavaria was warm and caring.

Terrific service coupled with clean, comfortable rooms. The motel was originally sold out, but when they had a late cancellation, they reached back out to me to see if I had found a place to stay. Check-in was very easy and the hostess was kind and helpful. The room was quite large, with two queens and a small kitchenette. Very clean and close to everything you need. Highly recommend.

Perfect location! Good rate! Amy was friendly & most accommodating! Clean room with some renos. Little warm @ night, but weather was hot. Yummy Mexican meal at uptown Conrad's Kitchen & Grill...Thx to Amy! And BBQ's & firepit too. Marlene
