Ramada Limited

First time staying for a couple of days at the Best Western SureStay Hotel chain. The hotel is an older hotel on the main road. Check in was fast and friendly. The room with twin queen beds was clean and fresh even if it has older furniture and is dated. The beds were excellent and nice and firm for a good nights sleep with the room very quiet. The housekeeping was daily with no need to inquire at the front desk like other hotels. All the staff were pleasant and friendly. A big plus for us was the gated underground car park for our vehicles safety. The two downsides of our stay were #1: the pillows provided on the beds were a joke! In all the last 30 years of travelling the world I have never seen anything like it. A chair cushion wrapped in a pillow case?? See the picture. Luckily we had brought our own pillows with us! #2: The breakfast is the poorest we have ever had at a Best Western Hotel with little selection which is repeated daily. Would I go back again....debating that one!

Doesn’t look like much from outside but decent rate for Richmond based Vancouver airport hotel within walking distance of many restaurants and services. Easy check in. Room 416. Pleasant and clean. Only one desk chair so have to sit on bed. One cup coffee packs with paper cups. Plastic glasses but only tap water which was good. Room fridge. Small and functional bathroom. Strong and loud AC unit provided good background noise to mask those other annoying hotel noises. Free breakfast in the lobby does the job. Free shuttle to the airport.

When booking this hotel we knew that it is cheap and older. We had no expectations otherwise. However, what we did not expect was the absolutely amazing staff. They had accommodated an adjoining room request coming from a third party booking site from separate bookings. They were kind, helpful and went over and beyond on customer service. The breakfast was also fresh and great with warm food options.
