A gem in the wilderness. The hotel was built to the highest quality of finishing and materials. The rooms are limited as to those with views, and if you desire a view it will cost you significantly more. The room was new and well decorated. Excellent Sony TV, but very soft bed (mattresses). The bathroom had no ventilation/fan. The staff were totally unfriendly and not professionally trained.

We had a relatively small family room, but it was comfortably furnished and relatively quiet. The only disadvantage was a strange smell that greets you as soon as you enter the lobby and is different, but stronger, in the room. The hotel is well located, the service is very nice, the pool and hot tub are usable, and overall the hotel gives an old-fashioned impression.

The hotel was beautiful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. We even saw a few seals swimming in the water, which was a wonderful surprise. We especially loved visiting the Sooke Potholes—they were absolutely stunning.
