Pacific Sands Beach Resort

Located on a great beach with many view units. Placee had a great vibe/feel and everything worked as promised. Great robes. EV chargers available.

Our first visit to Tofino,BC and area so we decided to splurge and stay at Pacific Sands. Overall the stay was fantastic for the 3 nights we were there. The resort does however need to work on being more courtesy to guests who require mobility accommodations. Upon booking our beachfront suite months in advance we requested a ground floor room, we were told not guaranteed, which we thought was odd but with booking so far in advance they would likely accommodate- wrong. We were very surprised when we checked in that we were assigned a second floor suite. Upon requesting a ground floor room and standing there with a cane- we were given the same scripted answer and pretty much too bad,so sad this is where you are staying followed by “are you able to walk up a few steps?” It was all manageable in the end and we did not let this ruin our time.it just made it a bit more challenging. Pros- the kids camp in the AM is fantastic, fun for the kiddos but also educational for them! Very clean, well kept resort, other guests are respectful, resort is quiet at night, no rowdy parties or people. The on-site restaurant and beach shack are good but need to be mindful of food needs during high season- quite a few items were sold out on the menu. The beds and pillows were super comfy and all the basic necessities were in the suite to cook a basic meal if you wished. Pacific Sands is worth the money you will spend, it is a definitely a luxury 5 star resort and it shows with attention to detail and one thing I always take note of when I travel is if the staff seem genuinely happy to work there. At Pacific Sands the staff seem valued for the work they do and happy to be there and help out guests. We hope to be back someday!

First time in Tofino and if you are a family of 4 + (we rolled in 8 deep, multi generation crew) this is the place to stay. The property is on a massive flat piece of land only requiring less than 10 step to the beach which was clutch for grandma and grandpa. We had a three bedroom oceanfront suite which had the best location though a tight squeeze for the group and only 2.5 baths so had to play a bit of shower time roulette. Price point during high season is what it is, but looking beyond the suite the resort offers so much more. Everything is clean and well maintained. Front desk always helpful and attentive and housekeeping did a great job taking care of our crew. Beds comfy and pillows comfy. Even though we were at the front of property by the firepits, hammocks and main walking paths, the property is quite and everyone was really respectful. Never bothered by nosy neighbors. Now for the IT factors: Pacific Sands provides it all! Surf shop offering lessons and rentals? CHECK! (SHOT OUT TO SURF SISTER THE BEST!!!!) Bike rental shop? CHECK! Use as you wish beach toys and beach chairs? CHECK! Free coffee and tea and hot chocolate all day? CHECK! Onsite restaurant with yum fresh food and great kids menu? CHECK! Sauna available for booking? CHECK! Massage for booking? CHECK! The list keeps going. Direct access to Cox Bay (the best) CHECK! Here's what you do: book 4-5 nights (don't look at the price). Pack light. Bring some of your own food, but not too much. Park your car once, rent a bike and just go! Bike everywhere!!! Check out everything, take it slow. Oh and definitely book a suite/room with a hot tub :)
