I’ve written more than one review of 910 Beach over the years so I won’t go into too much detail with this review. The front staff is very good. We arrived a little early on our check-in day and the room was not yet ready. The young man working at the front desk took my cell number and promised to call me when the room was available, and he actually did! Much appreciated. Another gentleman at the front counter also efficiently booked us a cab to the airport as we had a very early morning departure. Our suite was very clean and Housekeeping did a great job during our 3-night stay. Sadly, the City of Vancouver has passed a new policy prohibiting short-term rentals less than 30 days unless the property is the principal residence of the owner. I was sad when I heard this as I personally have a long history with this apartment-hotel going back to the 90s, and always stay here when in Vancouver. Thanks 910 Beach, it’s been great.

Junior suite - ground floor. Apartment 1505. The apartment was very clean and spacious and had everything you would need. Close to ferry and the market place on Granville Island. Downside was no nearby supermarkets, only small grocery shop with limited supplies and costly. On the go breakfast was nice. Apartment services daily and the staff were very helpful. Great shame that the city of Vancouver has stopped short terms stays here.

We arrived around 10:00 a.m. after departing a cruise, hoping to check in early. However, the room was not ready and we were told to check back around noon. We were allowed to store our luggage there and asked for directions to a drug store. We walked quite a ways, but never found the store based on the directions on the map. We found a different store and camped there for a while, people watching, then found the pedestrian walkway along the bay. We had a great walk and ultimately ended back at the hotel close to noon. Room still not ready, but we sat in their lounge area and the manager was kind enough to give my husband a cup of coffee. About 20 minutes later, the room was ready and we checked in. It was a little difficult to drag our bags through the doorways and down the halls. The room was clean and simple (basically a studio apartment). We found out when we checked in that the building was only going to be long-term rentals beginning 10/1/19 (this was 9/18/19). The bed was too soft and we had to get up at 4:30 to get to the train station. One complaint was that there was no ice machine and we had to walk to the convenience store in the next block to buy ice. I am convinced that the owner short-changed us in giving Canadian change to American dollars and when I questioned her about it, she was rude and called me "stupid", to which I took offense. We loved the area and it's location, mostly residential condos. We could walk one block to catch the Aquabus to Granville Island. I would spend more time here if given the opportunity. (It was within walking distance to bike rentals, which was my original plan, but after walking 4 miles, my husband wasn't too keen, but it is a great spot for that). The only downside was the charge of $4.99 (Canadian) for the internet.
