We loved our stay at the Best Western Plus Sands. The location couldn't be better—just steps from English Bay Beach, making it the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the beach, and watch the sunset. There are countless restaurants within walking distance serving just about every cuisine you can imagine. You can also easily walk to Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium, Stanley Park Brewing, or the harbor for a scenic sightseeing cruise. This is also a perfect place to stay before or after an Alaskan cruise, as it's just a short taxi ride from the cruise terminal. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed with thoughtful amenities like Nespresso pods, a mini fridge, lotion, and conditioner. There are also two great bars right next to the lobby, making it easy to grab a drink after a day of exploring. The front desk staff was especially helpful, arranging a taxi for our very early morning flight. I would definitely stay here again

Up until our last day we’d have a good time at this hotel. We found on our last night that there was a mouse under one of the beds which then ran behind the tv unit. When we told the reception they didn’t seem that surprised to hear this, reading other recent reviews of this hotel made us understand why. We were moved to another room on another floor, but did hear the scratching of more mice in the wall in the bay window during the night. It was our last night so we didn’t sleep as soundly as we’d hoped and hurriedly packed and checked out early the next morning. Avoid.

Amazing location, we walked easily to different attractions from here. Comfortable room, coffee/tv making facilities etc.
