Very nice hotel and well located for site seeing downtown and walking to cruise terminal.

The hotel is clean, and staff is efficient and friendly. The location is good if you want proximity to Coal Harbor. The beds are comfortable with good pillows. Excellent outlets and charging options. In room WiFi is strong. Electronics in room are good: outlets including USB A and C are firm; light controls are digital and advanced. So why the mediocre review? The rooms are sparsely furnished: two straight backed chairs, even though there is enough room for a loveseat or a sofa and chairs. No minibar. We upgraded to a higher room with a view but the view is obstructed on each side by buildings (I don’t think this was worth it, but it *is* a view of some of the harbor). The bathrooms have a Toto toilet with bidet functions which is very nice. But the shower is average - a bath tub and curtain and plastic shower fixture. The towels are worn out. The concierge will recommend anything he has a discount coupon for and restaurant recommendations are based solely on proximity to the hotel and whether they’ve made some sort of agreement with the hotel to get recommended. Try to get advice on better dining or local options? Forget it. There is varied and robust dining scene in Vancouver, but your concierge has no idea about any of it. The lobby is NOT comfortable. There are four very low, wide chairs that are difficult to get in and out of, and not much else. There is a restaurant and lounge on the second floor away from everything. So the lobby experience is not welcoming or comfortable if you’re hanging out between events, waiting for someone or something (an Uber, a tour, friends). This is a nice clean hotel that is not in any way distinctive or luxurious, with few amenities and not really worth the price.

We arrived in Vancouver as our first trip to Canada, it was a busy week as also the start of the FIFA World Cup so everywhere was world cupped out with signed , fan sites and big screens , as it should be for such an event. With our first visit we were unsure of location and also the accommodation prices were much higher than normal . We chose and managed to book our hotel . The location is perfect as close to Stanley park, the sites of downtown Vancouver and only minutes from the water front train station. The staff were more than welcoming and very helpful when we had an issue with one of our private tour booking and very helpful in calling on our behalf to sort it out . The rooms are very spacious and facility very good . We were on the 12th floor but would suggest a higher floor to get a better view above some of the high rise buildings . Will def book this hotel again
