The Craigmyle

Our second time at the Craigmyle and we will definitely be back next time we visit our son in Victoria. It feels like coming to stay at my Grandmother's house. It's so warm and welcoming. All the staff and other guests are so friendly. : ) The breakfast is perfect for us and great value. Everything is so well organized, it just makes me feel relaxed and taken care of. Thank you!

Lovely home and very large suite. We did not have time to enjoy breakfast but it smelled great. The view out back of the Craigdarroch castle was a plus. Very relaxing sitting downstairs having a glass of wine in the lovely surroundings.

lovely old home but..... stairs are very steep & very narrow. We were warned but it was harder than we thought. Our room was VERY small. No place to put two suitcases. Too hot. Duvet too hot. no screens on window. bed too small. uncomfortable night. Girl that checked us in was very un-helpful. no suggestions for anything that we asked about. Biggest concern was making us take our shoes off. It was NOT inclement weather. Taking off/putting on shoes is hard for older people. wasn't necessary. View from our room to the castle was great. Very noisy from doors and feet from neighboring rooms. on wood floors For the cost of the room, breakfast should be included. Breakfast was good. Breakfast room charming. Loved wandering the castle grounds. sadly it was closed Monday/Tuesday
