When one hears Destination Hotel it conjures up visions of luxury, and things to experience. This hotel has been heavily used and is attached to the Hospital which is the reason for our visit. It was convenient, had two restaurants and a Starbucks Coffee shop. The area it is located in is very sketchy, I did not venture outside during my whole stay. I saw things out my win do that I would never have seen in my rural town in the Interlake. My room was comfortable but very worn, and had a slight smell of urine. The front desk staff were very cordial, courteous, and efficient.

During a hospital stay at Health Sciences Centre, I stayed for a week at the Canadinn on William Avenue. The room had 2 queen beds, which allowed my daughter to provide support as I underwent gamma knife radiation and then surgery to excise the tumour. The procedure was a success, they believe. While at the hotel for a week, the room was NOT cleaned even once - bed not made, garbage not emptied, and toilet not cleaned. My daughter and I were focussed on my surgeries and recovery. How does this hotel decide to let a room stay in this condition for a week? Front desk staff were most helpful and accommodating.

This hotel is like an undertaker taking advantage of relatives of the deceased. Unless you have coupons entitling you to free services then you get very little for your hard earned money. $260 a night with parking. They do not clean the rooms daily and during a five night stay they did not even replenish coffee supplies in the room.i will be moving to a different hotel as soon as i can be away from my wife who is in the attached hospital. The service here is bottom rung. Altos restaurant closes at 4PM on Sunday in an area that has little else to offer for dining. Worst place I have ever stayed.
