Norwood Hotel

I’m not one to leave reviews but for the price we paid for this hotel stay I feel they should be much cleaner rooms. Stayed here to be close to St. Boniface hospital after a surgery. We had three different rooms and they all smelled musty. The carpet was lumpy and uneven in 2 of the rooms which was a tripping hazard. When we flushed the toilet in one room sewage was bubbling into the bathtub. In another room there was spit all over the wall by the window (picture attached). We let the front desk know and they sent a lady up to our room, I started telling her about the wall and she said I don’t understand , don’t speak English. So I pointed to the wall, she took pictures and Housekeeping came up to clean the wall. She wore gloves, cleaned the wall and then with the same gloves on she started making our bed and fluffing the pillows. I told her to stop touching the bed. Makes me wonder if she normally wears the same gloves to clean the entire room after cleaning bathrooms. The rooms were very dirty, this place needs a deep clean. The walls in the bathroom were gross too. Be sure not to drink the water in the room fridge they are $5 each and $12 for parking. We were kept up until 2 am the first night because our neighbours were playing music loudly and kept leaving their room multiple times after 11, letting door slam each time and being loud in the hallway. I know this isn’t the hotels fault but it just added to frustration we felt about staying here. Hopefully we won’t have to stay here again, unfortunately it is the closest hotel to St. Boniface hospital. We have stayed multiple times in the past and it’s progressively worse every time we go.

Was in for a hospital stay with my parents. Great location to everything including St.Boniface hospital. Very neat and clean and wonderful location I would recommend it and stay here again!

The hotel was exceptionally clean. The Hotel Manager, Pedro, was amazing and very accommodating. We will be back in Winnipeg for another trip in August and will definitely stay here again. The restaurant staff was attentive, and the food was delicious.
