Comfort Inn East Moncton

We booked this as most Comfort Inn's have been a good experience in the past. This one was not. Upon check in we noticed the smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby. When given our room key the smell was more pronounced once entering. The bathroom was dirty with hair in the shower. We returned to the front desk to ask for another room which was provided but it was the same. I think people smoke outside the rooms but the smoke goes into the ground level patio doors. We asked for a refund as I booked another place immediately. Thank you Hotels.com for saving us. If you are allergic to smoke and unclean bathrooms this is not the place for you.

**Very disappointing – experience not to be repeated** We arrived at 2am to sleep for a few hours with our children, and as soon as we entered the room, a strong smell of urine hit us. The floor was dirty, sticky, and clearly not cleaned. No other room was available, so we asked for a moppe to try to clean a little ourselves, but the dirt and pantyhose remained despite our efforts. The next day we complained to the manager, who was condescending and tried to convince us that there was "no smell". Yet even the children immediately noticed her as they entered the room. We were offered a meagre 20% off, but only if we agreed not to leave negative reviews — which we declined as a matter of principle. This was our second stay at this hotel, but it will definitely be our last. A very disappointing experience, both in terms of Cleanliness and Customer Service

My wife and Just returned from a stay at this comfort inn East hotel on May 17,2925 and was really impressed with the recent renovations! The entire property feels fresh and beautiful. I also have to commend the staff, who were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The cleanliness was also top-notch – the rooms were spotless. Breakfast was hot and the generalmen was so on top of replenishing the food. However, I did have one significant issue with my stay: the bed in my room was uncomfortably hard. It was so firm that I actually considered requesting a room change in the middle of the night. Ultimately, due to the late hour, I ended up sleeping in the chair for the remainder of the night. My wife woke with an incredibly sore back. While I truly appreciated the aesthetics, friendly service, and cleanliness, the uncomfortable bed unfortunately impacted our overall experience. I hope the hotel will consider addressing the comfort of the mattresses in the renovated rooms. The receptionist on the morning of my wife and I leaving said that the beds are all new, unfortunately I think they missed replacing the bed in room 116. Overall: Beautiful hotel with excellent staff and cleanliness, but the bed comfort needs improvement.
