Europa Inn

Location was the only positive thing about this stay. The accommodations were not worth the price we paid. From the front lobby, which looked like a cluttered store room to the threadbare carpets in the hallways, the too thin bath towels, the peeling chipped paint on the balcony, the grout that needed cleaning, the difficult to climb into tub, to the funky smell in our room and the drapes that didn’t fully cover the slider it was a very disappointing experience.

The hotel has been under its belt for a few years and sometimes seems a bit “worn out” - a renovation would certainly do it good. Otherwise it was a good reception, very friendly hosts who have newly integrated a small shop on the theme of bees or honey. The location in St Andrews is awesome - you're right in the action. Room had everything you need: Window with fly screen, air conditioning, small balcony, smart TV and parking right next to the building.

Nice hotel, tiny rooms. We chose to stay there for the restaurant and the German cuisine. We made the reservation a few months ago. Sadly with no notice, or change to their web site to indicate, the restaurant is not currently opened. We booked 2 nights so we could do a German meal first night and golf the next day. Even with recommendation, we could only find wait lists in town and had to settle on something we wouldn’t normally choose. Room was not ready after waiting till 3 to check in as stated on site.
