Comfort Inn Corner Brook

Room was clean and the pull out couch was obviously brand new. Close to the highway on the drive between Port-Aux-Basques and St. John’s. Was very loud on account of several tournaments (and groups) in town - no fault of the hotel’s. No breakfast included. Would probably stay again. Reception staff AWESOME!

Bad experience from the start. Had 2 rooms booked. Check in is at 2 pm. We arrived at 4. One room ready and the other not. Asked when the other room will be available. The clerk said didn’t know, they were fully booked last night and cleaners called in sick. She couldn’t of cared less or showed any empathy. Paid for two rooms with King beds got two rooms with double beds. Very poor customer service 👎🏻

Conveniently right off the Trans-Canada Highway and a couple of gas stations. Quick and efficient check-in. Clean pet-friendly room, hard flooring (no carpet), comfy bed. Extremely noisy heater, and some noise overnight in the hallway from other guests. Jungle Jim's restaurant accessible from the lobby, but we didn't go as we had already eaten. Receptionist offered perks for the pup upon check-in: the dog took gladly to the proffered treat, but took disdain to the somewhat smelly old flat sheet that was offered as bedding for him. Appreciate the thought though! The (locking) patio door opened into the parking lot, making it easy to load/unload the car, as well as to take the dog out easily without having to go to the main entrance. Super convenient, loved the drive-up feature - especially great for pet owners as well as motorcyclists (who don't usually travel with rolling luggage).
