The purpose of our stay was to celebrate our 39th anniversary. We stayed for a week between 8 - 15 October 2025. We landed at the airport got our rental car and had about a 20 min. ride to the hotel. We choose to stay in Dartmouth because it's just easier coming from and going back to the airport. This property is well placed for easy access to the main roads, restaurants, shopping and points of interest. You will need a rental if planning to get into Halifax away from the waterfront area and to see the wonderful countryside such as Peggy's Cove Lighthouse etc. Do take the ferry if going to the Halifax waterfront (Boardwalk area.) or lower part of the city just beyond it.
The Delta Marriott is a beautiful property that is well maintained as to look new. It was extremely clean and very comfortable. The rooms seemed a little larger and were comfortable and clean. The location and hotel itself were very quiet so getting a good night's sleep would be no issue at all. The hotel has all the standard amenities you would expect from a property such as this.
I would be greeted by Tanveer in a very professional manner with a healthy dose of relaxed friendliness I would have contact with him throughout our stay. I believe this is when I also met Muskaan and she was fantastic as well, which goes for everyone I'll mention and the rest of the staff across the board we encountered. We actually would have dinner at the hotel twice and breakfast before we left for the airport to come home, and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and service Swarnali (Though found out tonight she is no longer there.) as our server she was fantastic and always made it a point to ask how we were doing etc. also as the rest mentioned did as well. Roberta worked the Bar and helped seat people and was very helpful. Daniel handled our check out and we shared a laugh or two and provided me with a portfolio and very nicely wished us a safe return home. Tonight I spoke with Dhruv on duty as the night auditor who was nice enough to confirm I correctly remembered everyone mentioned above which he said I did and very nice and we talked "shop" for a few minutes as I did with some of the above. We felt as though we were the cousins that you liked to come over and some time together. You don't always get that staying somewhere away from home, it was refreshing. It was a pleasure to have met them all and they represented as a whole the hotel and by extension Marriott with their professionalism, friendliness and caring. All the staff again we encountered were the same.
We had only one crisis that occurred on our 4th night there I believe. It involved the cucumber water dispenser. I was determined to get a cup of it that night it was clogged and I tilted it which was not a good idea. Got a little water on me and the floor which Tanveer attempted to cleanup however I had control of the situation and was already on it. I discussed a course of action with Tanveer (Yes, he tried to stop me again however I was "off to the races" and a late check-in had just arrived,) and off I went to the Bar and Roberta for a long-handled spoon. The repair was completed (Required some manual stirring.) and the crisis was averted and the cucumber was flowing! We shared a good laugh.
If that's the worst that happens to you here than you probably had a great stay as we did. For disclosure when I do these, I worked in both the Hotel and Restaurant industry for about 15 years starting at age 13. I would also get my degree in the above-mentioned industry in management. But as life would have it I would enlist and served in the Silent Service in navigation, so we thank you for giving us our military discount. If our paths should cross again, we would definitely stay here again. This property and staff get a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This hotel is incredibly refreshing for business travelers. Staff (literally every person I interacted with) is friendly, helpful, and makes you feel at home; the facilities are upgraded nicely; and the fitness center is the most impressive I’ve seen - a full gym with space for multiple guests, an on demand spin studio, AND a yoga studio!! Also looks like some fun indoor pool/slides. Food at the restaurant was quite tasty as well. I’ll happily be back here again!

The Delta Dartmouth is my go to place when I visit Halifax. Conveniently located close to the Dartmouth Crossing shopping complex and just far enough out of the busy area to offer a relaxing stay. Nice restaurant on site and a quick stop sandwich bar as well. Rooms are always well appointed and clean.
