Delta Barrington

I attempted to book a week’s stay at this hotel in January 2026. I filled out the online application and waited for my confirmation and itinerary via email. I never received either. I assumed I had not completed the forms correctly, or there was a glitch in the system at the time, so proceeded to continue to search for a different hotel. I found one that fulfilled my needs and booked accordingly. I got my confirmation and itinerary via email and off we went in May for our week’s holiday and had a great time in a great hotel. After coming home I saw there was a charge on my visa for a one night stay at the initial hotel I attempted to book into. After several phone calls, I was made aware that The Barrington hotel had indeed charged me for a no show. I tried to explain the aforementioned situation and requested the charge be reversed, to no avail. I found out through many phone calls that I had given an incorrect email address (one digit out) and therefore I was to be held accountable for the no show charge. After explaining the unusual circumstances, and my honesty regarding this, I was told that I would receive a credit back to my Visa. However, that was not to be. I made more phone calls to the hotel but was informed that there would be no refund. I was not impressed! I thought they could have phoned me to tell me they got the email bounced back and we could have righted this at the time of booking. Anyway, just a very fixable situation that didn’t have to end up being one that leaves a customer out 269.$ and feeling very disgruntled. Would I try to book there on my next trip, absolutely not.

Good central location but very tired and shabby. Rooms were quite dirty with broken fittings. When issues raised with staff, was told to email photos to a non existent email address. Was also told that parking was on site but it is not. It is in a public car park across the street and costs an additional $25 per night. I would not willingly stay here again.

Just don't. Don't do it. Seriously. Just don't.
