I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the airport drop-off service arranged through the front desk. The driver charged us $82, excluding gratuity. I subsequently provided a 15% tip. Upon further investigation, I discovered that local taxi services typically charge $59.75 for the same route to the airport. This discrepancy raises concerns regarding a potential affiliation between the front desk staff and the driver who provided the service. I respectfully request that management investigate this matter.

In a great location, close to downtown and the citadel. Hopefully you can walk up and down hills, as there are plenty in the downtown. The hotel is large, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room had a great shower, probably the best on our two week trip, around the Maritimes. Great breakfast, but on our second stay, the coffee machine in the breakfast room was broken. So they had hot water or regular coffee, we drink de- caffeinated coffee. So we had to walk a distance to get our coffee. We found that at certain times the two elevators can’t handle the amount of people trying to use them. Very close to the Scotiabank centre. I would like to check out other hotels in that area, if I went back to Halifax.

Very disappointing stay. Bed should have been replaced long ago, linens were literally thread-bare, only 2 very slow elevators for a high-rise hotel, breakfast was just OK at best, place is pet-friendly, and dog owners are not in control of their dogs. Ridiculous pricing for the amenities, which is much higher in June than May. Location is good.
