Holiday Inn Express New Glasgow

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed our time. The location made it easy to get around, and the hotel was consistently clean from the lobby to the rooms. Our room was spacious with plenty of shelving and wardrobe space, which is something you don’t always get but definitely appreciate. The staff were friendly throughout our stay, and the front desk gave us great suggestions for things to do in town and events happening nearby. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise each morning — lots of options, fresh food, and a team that was both attentive and welcoming. There was also plenty of parking available, which made coming and going really convenient. It made for a smooth, hassle-free stay.

We stayed here two nights because it was convenient to many things we wanted to see. After taking the ferry from PEI to NS late in the day, we stayed at the hotel. On the following day, we explored Peggy's Cove, Halifax Boardwalk, and other places in NS. We made our way back to the hotel for a second night, and it was a great place to stay before moving on to Sydney and NL. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was good.

The hotel was filled with hockey teams and the kids were running wild on all four floors. There did not seems to be any parental supervision and the one hotel staff member was ill equipped to handle the situation. They were running throughout the hotel, screaming, throwing trash and banging on door. I complained twice and finally left in the night because there was no peace. When I was waiting to express my frustration, the clerk was on the phone with another customer who was experiencing the same problems and another man came up behind me to complain. It was a horrible experience. When I asked for the Manager, I was informed that they would not be available until Monday. I will not be back.
