Monte Carlo Inns Barrie Suites

This hotel was extremely overpriced. Most of the staff with the exception of one Indian gentleman were extremely ignorant we were charged $230 plus tax extra fees for extended checkout which was well over $300 we ended up paying,but even at $230 a night this room was by far, not worth that we won’t be back and we will share this information. Had to go in and out of our car for our luggage and carry it by hand because they could not locate any of the cards they didn’t even try. So unprofessional and not very accommodating at all.

On check in, the desk clerk would not honour the price I had been confirmed with, on line, insisting on charging the rack rate. He also stated that if we did not accept this higher rate, and left, he would charge our credit cardfor one night. We stayed. Fortunately, the manager was present at check out time the following morning, and we were charged the proper amount. Other than that, the hotel met all our expectations, We would have no reason not to stay there. on our next trip to Southern Ontario
