Best Western Cambridge

What makes this a best western plus? I couldn’t find it. Room and hallway very musty smelling. Wallpaper lifting at the seams. Cover for AC unit held on with drywall screws. Shower was either scalding or ice, no control. Ice machine only on floor 2 and 4 and the one on 4 was broke. Not worth the money.

We love Best Westerns and have stayed at many across the country for years. This location in Cambridge needs to either close down or renovate. Do not stay here, the smells are awful. The carpet, tiles even the elevator buttons are worn out and everything is getting smelly, the bathrooms are stained and cracked tiles. We were suppose to stay 2 nights, between the doors slamming all night and the smells, we had to leave and go elsewhere.

First off let me say the staff are amazing at this hotel. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Now, as for the hotel , it’s in rough shape. Pool is FREEZING ! Hot tub not much better and only worked for one day, next day out of order. Room was dated, and the HVAC system is like a train engine running in the closet. Bathroom exhaust fan is the same. Only one elevator running, breakfast the usual powdered eggs and home fries. Overall for the $$$$$ not a good one.
