Holiday Inn Express Chatham South

Hotel room fresh, clean and a decent size. Bed comfy although the pillows not so much. Excellent weight room and the indoor pool was fabulous. All staff are friendly but the ABSOLUTE BEST is Edna! She is the hostess in the breakfast area. Well stocked, and a separate gluten free area!! Whoot! She knows what is where and has access to an ingredient book. As a celiac this was great and so very much appreciated. The breakfast area including Gluten Free should be the standard for all hotels!

The location is close to downtown Chatham and adjacent to the casino which has a full service restaurant and bar. The hotel provides a full complementary daily breakfast which is excellent and the public areas are clean, well staffed and comfortable. We booked a room with 2 queen beds however we picked up brown ticks from the beds and pillows. Since the hotel is dog friendly, ticks can transfer from the animals to the beds and brown dog ticks can thrive for a long time in bedding and mattresses. We had to seek medical attention since we found a total of 4 ticks on the 2 occupants and were unsure of the possible health impacts of tick bites. I would suggest that the hotel reserve some rooms that are dog free similar to the smoke free rooms

They are renovating the hotel . No disturbance to guest. WOW nice upgrade. We have stayed in the Caldwell Suites part. The staff is all great very knowledgeable and happy to help. Rooms are perfect big fridge and cook top. Breakfast is great with a good selection. Location is right next to the casino. I can't say enough great things about the staff. Thanks for a great stay.
