Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Downtown Ottawa

Yellow bedsheets Im very unsatisfied and this is in a simple words. The first room where we were in, looks like a cheap basement on the ground floor with the ugly hall, barely lights, windows and a lot of maintenance rooms nearby. When we asked to change the room the staff was rude (man) and he said this is what we booked and this is what we get in a rude way. The girl on the check in was more polite, they changed the room but it is still looks like a cheap old student house. We would never come back to this Holiday Inn, very unhappy.

This hotel was perfectly located in downtown Ottawa, within walking distance of shopping, food, nightlife, and the sights of the city. The hotel is not overly modern but it is well-kept. I had a double suite with a kitchenette, perfect for a week's stay for a business traveller. Up to Holiday Inn's usual standard without a doubt.

This hotel was a wonderful place to stay with our two dogs when visiting Ottawa. Rates were not cheap but the facility was nice and the people who worked there were very polite and helpful. We recommended this hotel only to learn later that it is now closed & being converted to student housing. Sorry to hear this. Too bad they didn't bother to take the listing offline as it still appeared available a couple of weeks ago when I checked rates. Frustrating. I usually like Holiday Inn properties but they need some assistance cleaning up what's on their listings.
