Quality Hotel Downtown Ottawa

This place truly brings you back to student life. The room is extremely basic — just a bed, a desk, a chair, and a wardrobe. Nothing more. That said, it was clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. Be aware: if your room faces Rideau Street, it's very noisy — we had to sleep with earplugs. We booked it by accident and wouldn't stay again, but if you're looking for something simple and bare-bones (not comfort), this might be for you.

Our rooms were clean, and spacious with basic but functional amenities. We had two double beds, air conditioning, a mini-fridge, microwave, TV, WiFi, and a private bathrooms with towels and toiletries included. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the University of Ottawa campus where you can park your car (lot next door has some icky characters), Byward Market, the Rideau Centre, and other downtown attractions.

Good place for overnite stay. The downsides are there is no coffee in the rooms or the lobby, and the coffee shops open only at 6:00 am. Also the parking can only be paid 1 day at a time, so you need to rush at 5:00 am to pay for the day... without coffee. It’s well located to the area we needed to get around, so we left the car at the hotel parking. Also the hotel extended our stay for free for the event taking place during the weekend.
