Comfort Inn Hwy. 401 - Kingston

Traveling with my spouse, we were looking for an affordable hotel in Kingston, ON. We were very pleased with what we found here! The staff were very attentive. The newly renovated rooms were very well designed. We loved that there are small night stands next to BOTH sides of the bed, with electric outlets at each one, and that the sofa bed was placed next to the a/c unit in such a way that it didn't blow air directly on anyone. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, everything functional. And the breakfast that was included had a few healthier options. We also liked that coffee was available in the lobby 24/7. Note that this hotel has two floors and there is no elevator.

I recently returned to this Comfort Inn for the first time since 1999, and what an amazing surprise! The hotel is really a hidden gem in Kingston. It’s recently renovated so the rooms are in fantastic shape. The beds are very comfortable and the linens feel very luxurious. The bathrooms are bright and spotless with high end finishes (granite countertops, nice tile). The staff are friendly and efficient. Parking is free and I had a ground floor room so it was very easy to unload my car from my parking spot right in front of the room’s sliding glass doors. There are tons of restaurants in the area and it’s just a one minute drive to the on-ramps to the 401, yet it’s very quiet and peaceful. The room rates are very affordable, and are a real bargain for what you’re getting (breakfast is included and parking is free!). I look forward to staying here again next time I’m in Kingston!

At a 2-star inexpensive motel in Ontario, I normally expect a working but noisy heating/cooling system, chipped bathroom elements, and slightly shabby if clean public areas. Not here! We had a beautifully renovated king room with a stunning new bathroom and silent heating system. Brand new carpeting, furniture, and finishings are lovely. Public areas are modern and spotless, and there's a LAUNDRY for guests (e-payment). I understand not every room has been updated yet, but they're working on getting them all done. Lovely staff too! We'll definitely be back!
