Pinestone Resort & Conference Centre

It was horrible. The first room they gave us had a view of the pond and a dumpster. The padio door HAD NO LOCK! We asked for another room. No hot water, shower broken and very unsafe door. The only good thing was that the bed was clean and comfortable.

We stayed as a golf group of 16 in July 2026. I always try to be positive where I can, but this place has seen much better days. Staff: the people who work at the resort are really trying hard. Everyone was friendly including desk staff, cleaning staff, our waitress in the morning, and the people on the golf course. Be courteous and friendly with them as the shape of the place is not their doing. Breakfast: our two night golf and stay package included a buffet breakfast and it was great, really tasty and solid offerings. Other than that, we used a barbecue and the restaurant seemed closed. Rooms: rooms were clean and basic, no issues. However, everything about them seems like they haven't been updated in 30 years. Very tired and run down overall. A shocker to me is that there is no tv service. Turn on the tv and you get a screen of fuzz and nothing else, same with the tv in the bar. Golf course: what a total disaster this course is. The layout of the course would be ok, but the shape of everything is embarrassing, from bare fairways, to golf carts that have no brakes. Our cart ran out of charge on the 14th hole and was pretty dangerous in that you could push the brake all the way down and it made no difference. You had to do creative driving and be very careful. Other than the starter, the cart girl and the dude selling dogs at the turn, I saw no evidence of staff working anywhere on the course. Anyway, in summary, our group made it fun, played lots of golf and drank lots of beer. But if you are looking for any kind of quality here, look elsewhere. It seems the owners have either run of out of cash or just given up entirely.

Horrible place. Restaurant and bar has been closed down, outside pool is closed down, the place smell old and stinky, bathroom toilet won't fish right. People in town said they have the water turned off because the owner doesn't pay the bill. This place is very run down and needs to be closed or a new owner needs to come in and renovate it. Bad property management here.
