Motel is aged and dirty. Not cleaned properly.

If I could give a rating that is less than 1 , I would . This is hands down the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in . The room smelled, the carpet was torn and had not been vacuumed , the bed sagged , there were no warm blankets , the windows did not close and there was mold in the shower. The price I was charged was exorbitant for the quality of the accommodation. Shockingly bad .

I honestly cannot recall a motel that has been worse than this. Where do I start? Would it be the dirty toilet? No, that was minor. Would it be the door mat at the front of the unit filled with cigaretter butts? Perhaps! Would it be the smoke detectors - lying either on the mircowave or in a cabinet, sans batteries, and not on their ceiling mounts? Should it be the dead ants in the bath? Perhaps. Maybe more relevant would be the infestation of ants along almost all of the skirting boards Perhaps it would be the almost indifference of the management to these issues? Would it be the lack of air conditioning? Surely not since there was a fan in the unit. The fan makes more noise than a 747 during take-off? I have travelled extensively, and I honestly cannot recall a motel that has been worse then this in terms of cleanliness, responsivitiy of management, simple utilities (i.e. a reasonably working fan) or insect infestation. If I was paying $20 in a remote outpost somewhere, then perhaps this would be tolerable. But this is the most awful hotel experience that I have ever had
