Location was convenient and the room itself was acceptable, though definitely dated and in need of upgrades. Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t have had any major complaints about the stay. Unfortunately, the real issue—and the reason for this review—is the customer service and the complete lack of accountability from both the hotel and Priceline. I accidentally booked my stay for the wrong weekend through Priceline, selecting dates one week later than what I actually needed. As soon as I realized the mistake, I immediately called the hotel to explain the situation. The staff told me they couldn’t cancel it directly and instructed me to contact Priceline, so I did exactly that. On top of that, I booked a second reservation at the same hotel for the correct dates and paid for that stay separately. So the hotel already had my business for the weekend I actually needed, and they were fully aware that the second reservation was an error. Priceline has documented notes showing they attempted to reach the hotel manager to request a cancellation, but the hotel claimed they had no record of any calls. When I followed up again, Priceline tried once more to contact them—even though the hotel had already been informed a full week earlier that the booking was a mistake and that I would not be staying for the second reservation. Despite having more than enough notice and despite the fact that I had already stayed at the hotel the previous weekend, the hotel still denied the refund. They had plenty of time to rebook the room, and I made every effort to correct the mistake immediately. Instead, I ended up losing $230 for a room I never used, simply because neither the hotel nor Priceline wanted to take responsibility for the delay in communication. The most frustrating part is the constant runaround. Priceline says they called. The hotel says they didn’t. Meanwhile, I’m stuck paying for a reservation I tried to cancel a full week before the check‑in date. There was no flexibility, no understanding, and no willingness to acknowledge that I acted quickly and in good faith to fix an honest mistake. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. The room was fine, but the customer service was unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here based on how they handled this situation. If you’re looking for a better option in the same area, stay at the Sandman Hotel just down the street—it’s a much better place and you won’t have to deal with this kind of hassle. Bottom line: I was charged for a room I never used, even though I requested the cancellation a full week in advance. Very poor experience and very poor customer service.

Our room was clean. Breakfast was OK. Breakfast & reception staff were helpful. Location is good, close to the QEW. Traffic on Centennial is often heavy so it may take a couple of minutes to turn left (north).

Stayed April 1 2026. Called directly to comfort Inn. Spoke with Kerri Mills. She quoted me price-main floor,king size bed. Asked her if rate would be less expensive if booked on line-Yes-Hung up & booked through Trivago. Drove over 4 hrs to reach Hamilton-attended appt then checked in around 5pm. Desk clerk,Ajmer checked me in-2nd floor room-explained I had called earlier and wanted main floor access,asked if main floor rooms still available,he said yes,but he will charge me $11.00 extra. I explained , am 74,I have a disability as you can view my certificate on car windshield, needed main floor as stairs very difficult for me. He would not accommodate me unless I paid $11.00 extra. Not the $11.00,as I can easily afford,fact that price changes were made in order for me to have main floor(while having a disability) I tried to find # to call Trivago & sat on lobby couch-Ajmer told me to leave because he cancelled room. In end-because of my exhaustion took room on 2nd floor(struggling with luggage up stairs). He would not put me in contact with Kerri as she had left building. Spoke with Kerri following am. She said main floor rooms were available,but people with"pets" may need room first???? She then said she could not change room assignments as it was "against the rules". However, as I was speaking with her,she took a phone call from someone requesting a change and she accomodated them by saying"every rule has the exception" Yet no exception for someone with a disability questioning the additional $11.00 charge???? Very difficult customer service and price changes. Interesting on way out-spoke with 4 other women about my experience-one lady indicated she too had a problem at check in with Ajmer,re: her CAA card.
