Howard Johnson Hamilton

This has to be the worst place I have ever stayed. The rooms were dirty. I had ants in the room and when I reported them to the desk they said they would check to see if they had any bug spray and would call me back so I could pick it up at the desk. The lock on the door was battery operated and it died while I was out one evening. They had to put me in another room for the night.

This is, by far, the sketchiest hotel I have ever stayed in. A few things: 1) It is no longer a Howard Johnson. It is called the "Airport Inn." I can only guess that it dropped below the HoJo's already rather low standards. They have just torn the logo off the front. 2) It is half abandoned. The restaurant beside it (appears to have been a Hooters, to top it off) is empty and half the hotel isn't being used. At least one broken window in the unused part of the hotel really adds to the "character" 3) A number of bug bites after sleeping there. Just hoping it's not bed bugs that I'm bringing home 4) There were legitimately blood stains on the carpet (see photos). Thus, the Walking Dead comment 5) The free "continental breakfast" appears to just be Costco muffins. Don't stay here. They should close it, tear it down. The worst.

I stayed 4 nights, one of which had no hot water at night (which is when I usually take my shower, before going to bed), and in another, I ordered in food, and left the pizza box on the floor. Next morning, I opened it and it was full of ants! I've never seen soo many ants in the 21 years I've lived in Canada!!! I won't forget to mention that I put the pizza like that to be away from the heater they brought to my room because it was too cold and the heating system they have installed wasn't good enough, so they brought me a separate one! In sum, DON'T STAY THERE!
