Strengths: • Very pleasant, helpful, and understanding front desk staff. • Bathroom with very good water pressure. • Well-equipped kitchenette: stovetop, microwave, dishes, frying pan, saucepan, sponge, and dish soap. • Amenities provided: pool, hair dryer, towels, shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Weaknesses: • Bed bug: We found one in the sheets of our 1st room (spotted in time, bag + photos). Hotels.com and the front desk were fortunately very responsive in rehousing us. The 2nd room was clean (no bites). • Noise disturbances: Earplugs are essential! The 1st room faced the road (incessant traffic noise). The 2nd room (parking/tree side) was quieter but we were woken up very early by the garbage truck. • General condition: Average cleanliness in both rooms and the whole place is quite dated and deserves a refresh.

I appreciated how everything was simply onpoint. Booking and payments were easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was easy to find. Room was clean. Facilities were working as expected. Nothing was outstanding, but everything was just perfectly ok. If you are very noise-sensitive, you can hear the doors closing, people talking in the hallways, and the cars and motocycles passing on the busy road next to the hotel.

This was the 6th time we’ve stayed here. We love it. So convenient to McMaster University . The rooms are terrific and the kitchenettes so convenient especially when travelling with family. Nice pool, good parking. They have always made us feel very welcome and have been very accommodating. I look forward to staying with them again in June
