The staff at 3 Pines were warm and welcoming. The guest rooms could use some love; (more furniture like a chair and side table, more working electical outlets and 1-2 table lamps - one on each side of the bed - all would have been helpful.) Also, the sliding door to the balcony was broken, so very awkward to get on to the balcony. The first Friday night of the month live open mic entertainment at the Inn was fantastic! It was a fascinating window into the local Port Sydney culture and lively music scene. The restaurant in the hotel was great: helpful and friendly staff and very tasty fish & chips!

The location of this lodge was good. Right off the highway and up the roads from the water. The lodge has been updated. My room had been updated, the bed was comfortable, and bathroom very nice. The owner was also very friendly and quick to answer any questions. BUT please note we stayed in July and there is no air conditioning. Nothing. It was so hot in the room! There was a fan that I had to put at the patio door, which I had to leave open because it was so hot. Also, no complimentary water, or coffee machine in the room. Too pricey for my knowing I could have stay at another place for cheaper or the same that would have offered what was missing. $350 for the night. Would not do that again.
