Best Western Governor's Inn

Negatives- room was musty. Sink were really really slow ,toilet seat was worn out.. tv was awful and it would stop off and on ... Internet was a disaster.. Friday at4 when we arrived some workers had most of the parking spot blocked close to the door cause they were renovating outside right in front of our room.. Breakfast was ok but Limited to a few things and waffle machine was good .. The management or staff seem ok .. Positives-- The location was perfect from the beach or Sobeys and Timmy's across the street...

Worst hotel experience ever. 2 noticeably different mattresses. One was a nice new pillow top, the other was something you’d find in a dated cottage. What was worse was that upon opening the sheets, a pubic hair. The beds were both full of hair and lint, clearly just remade. They didn’t have any other rooms to move us to, so we asked if we could at least get clean sheets and compensated for this experience. There was also a very unpleasant odour when we entered the room, the television was very blurry, and the ac unit was very loud. Don’t stay here. We are planning on skipping the complementary breakfast after reading some honest reviews on this place.

The shower curtain rod was broken and fell off mid shower. I know how to fix a curtain rod, but this one had no spring left in it. They didn't know how to fix it. The TV remote was the wrong remote. Couldn't watch TV until they brought us another remote that worked but not well. The sliding door to the balcony that we paid for an upgraded Suite would not open. They said it was because it was locked and came to try themselves. They couldn't open it either. Hotel needs some serious maintenance. The staff were kind. The breakfast was fairly good. But wouldn't stay there again. SC
